There are few things of great importance that can be achieved merely by your word alone. Amnesty International (AI) is one of those things.
Merely by writing letters you can contribute to saving lives, preventing or ending torture and rescuing children from slavery.
When I began supporting Amnesty financially I was challenged by a relative over the political positioning of the organization. The point I made to him and would make to you is that it is not necessary to share all the views or positions this organization espouses to support the most core values.
