      PopShot Warning to Women

This warning is for any woman thinking of a career in television. With the proliferation of marginal cable channels there are lots of opportunities for bright young people to prove out their talents and launch a career.

Unfortunately the evidence indicates that some of those opportunities pose grave health risks for women. It is only a matter of time before the Department of Health issues a warning that regular appearances on G4TechTv cause severe damage to the legs of women.

At this stage I don’t know if the damage is purely cosmetic, nor whether or not it only disfigures female legs. But the evidence is that at minimum the risk is severe deformity of female hosts’ legs.

To do your own research, tune in to one of the G4TechTv shows that has a female olivia leghost. You can find what in all respects appear to be beautiful, sexy young women. And they are always clad in jeans or some other pant-like garment that fully covers the thighs and calves.

It is clearly not a situation where you are looking at prudes. Hell, Olivia Munn (Attack of the Show) talks dirty every episode and usually chats with a female guest on the best ways to hook up. Her bio notes say she’s acted in the role of “tough surfer chick.” So clearly she’s not allergic to skirts or too modest to show her legs. Conclusion: some bad legsthing has happened to make those legs unbearable to look at.

Take in an episode of X-Play and enjoy the vision of Morgan Webb. Morgan is an exquisite creature, beautiful and hot. But something has happened to her legs! Never in anything but jeans and masking clothes. (Morgan wore a dress for an awards episode with about two inches above the ankle vaguely visible. Very tricky.)

Amber MacArthur of Call for Help fame also is always forced to conceal her legs. Amber is the perfect “girl next door” personality, sweet, friendly and open. What have they done to Amber’s legs???!

It doesn’t end with these shows either. Check out the Chick on Cheat (ch-cha-cha). Fully covered. I have since seen Kristin Holt, the Cheat hostess wearing a skirt in several episodes and she has wonderful legs. Until Kristin publicly discloses the cure for G4 Legs though, I still have to warn other women to avoid the place.

Ladies! Please! Do not become a host on G4TechTV. Even being a regular guest has risks as once on the show, the legs are invariably blocked from view.

If you would like to save the legs of Olivia, Morgan and Amber, you can write:

I received a message asking me why I wasn’t concerned about the guys’ legs. Apparently there are some people who actually care what Adam’s legs look like. But honestly these shows belong to the ladies. I don’t mean to be unkind but Adam reads so mechanically that it’s painfully obvious he’s following a teleprompter most of the show. Over on AOTS Kevin is a bit smoother than Adam but even with him there are those obvious quips meant to be witty and spontaneous but oh so obviously coming off a scrolling screen. These two are anchors only in the sense of dead weight. As for Leo front and center on Call for Help, he’s great guy and clearly does not need to read from a script to make it through a show. and as much as I want to have fun at his expense, I just can’t bring myself to razz on Leo...

So is it sexist that I fear for the fate of the female locomotive bits? Who cares??

As for the fellow who wanted me to look into other body parts -- I wish. So no, I’m not just a “leg man.” I’m an ear man, eye man, nose man, elbow man... I love every part of a woman’s topography. But I have to upgrade my public health alert training before I can issue any advisories above the thigh.
